PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Doctor of Environmental Stewardship Studies (D.ESS.) is an advanced doctoral research program designed to prepare Christian scholars, educators, environmental leaders, and ministry practitioners to address global environmental challenges through biblical stewardship, scientific research, and ethical leadership. The program integrates biblical theology, environmental science, sustainability, creation care, public policy, and interdisciplinary research to develop servant leaders who can influence churches, academic institutions, communities, governments, and international organizations while promoting responsible stewardship of God's creation for present and future generations.

ADMISSION CRITERIA
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies, or a related discipline from an approved institution.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of 60 credit hours.
- Passing of comprehensive examination.
- Completion and defense of a doctoral dissertation (50,000–70,000 words).
- Demonstrated environmental stewardship impact project (such as sustainable farming initiative, ecological restoration, policy advocacy, or creation care network).
