PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Doctor of Aramaic Language and Literature (D.Ara.LL.) is an advanced doctoral program designed to develop scholarly expertise in Biblical Aramaic, Aramaic literature, historical linguistics, and advanced textual research. The program equips students to interpret Aramaic biblical and ancient Near Eastern texts with academic precision while engaging in original research that contributes to biblical scholarship, theological education, and Christian ministry. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of 60 credit hours.
- Passing of comprehensive examination.
- Completion and defense of a doctoral dissertation (50,000–70,000 words).
- Demonstrated field contribution, such as manuscript discoveries, digital Aramaic lexicon development, or preservation projects with Aramaic-speaking communities.
